Follow the twists and turns of Albert Square; from marriage to murder, break-ups to meltdowns, EastEnders has viewers on the edge of their seats time and again. With contemporary, and sometimes controversial stories that confront topical issues, it is easy to see why this is one of Britain`s highest rating programmes.
STARRING
The EastEnders set is built on the same spot that the "German" building site used in the first series of Auf Weidersen Pet, was located. If you look carefully you'll notice that the flats in the background are the same ones in both programmes.
Albert Square was reputedly based on the architecture in Fasset Square in Hackney, London E8 (just off Graham Road).
