The Weakest Link is like no other quiz show - it is more like a mini soap opera. The contestants` personality is just as important as their knowledge. Nine contestants come to the studio as strangers, but must work together as a team to reach the maximum prize money for each round. At the end of the round, each contestant votes to eliminate the fellow contestant they consider to be the weakest link in the chain. The host will interrogate the contestants about their choice of vote, and she will take no prisoners! Eight of them will leave with nothing, as round by round, they eliminate the person they think is the weakest link. The Host is the star of the show. She always has the last word and is in total control of the drama. If the contestants answer back or try to upstage her she will put them firmly in their place. The Host is not simply a question master: she is the ringmaster!
