Blankety Blank was first shown in 1979 and has been hosted by Mr Wogan, Les Dawson and Lily Savage. Blankety Blank became well known for the astounding prizes, namely the infamous Blankety Blank cheque book and pen.

This hilarious, light hearted family game show has celebrities guessing the missing words in sentences with the two contestants attempting to match the same answer. Two word wise contestants battle to match minds with six celebrities when they have to fill in the missing word from a funny phrase presented to them and the celebrity panel by the host Lily Savage. Every answer provides a wonderful opportunity for jokes from the celebrities but more often Lily Savage.
